Programing Crystals

We need to set the intent of the crystal or gemstone before we use them for healing. A crystal for example may be used for reiki distance healing or to channel information. To achieve this, crystals need to be programmed with your intent first.

Crystals and gemstones will respond to your intent, either vocally or by thought.

To program your crystal, hold it in your hand and focus your intentions into the crystal energy. All you need to do is visualize your requirements.

In metaphysical terms, programming a crystal is to store an energy pattern (intent) into a crystal.

The energy pattern or intent you set can be any thought, colour (for colour therapy), emotion, sound, or any other vibration. This vibrational pattern is stored within the crystal until it is re programmed or cleansed again.

All the divine crystals that I send out from our website are energised with love and healing prior to packing, so when you receive them they will have their own unique energy.  I’ve had customers send beautiful emails about the stones they receive from us. They hold such a beautiful energy. I hold each crystal or gemstone and ask it to look after it’s new owner.

There are many ways you can program a crystal, but here is one simple idea that we recommend:

Cleanse the crystal or stone first. See our section on Cleansing Crystals.

Begin with very clear intent - Know what you want to program the crystal to do before you pick it up.

Sit down in a quite relaxed place with your crystal where you won’t be disturbed for a few minutes.

Hold the crystal in your dominant hand (right hand if right handed) and clear your mind of unrelated thoughts. Start to focus on your intention for the programming of your crystal.

Focus for a short while until you feel ready to vocalise or think about what you require from the crystal.

If your intention is to use the crystal for distance healing, then repeat the words “please allow me to use this crystal for distance healing” a few times. Repeat this while speaking over the crystal and ask with gratitude and love.

You will be able to ‘feel’ when you intent vibrations have reached the crystal. Some will feel tingling or just knowing, having a sense of acceptance and understanding.

When the intent is in the crystal, again with love and gratitude say ‘thank you for your help’.

This method can also be used with tumbled stones, spheres, polished crystals, and natural chunks of minerals, as well as natural crystals.

To retrieve and use the programming, simply rub the crystal while asking (silently or out loud) for its programming to be released.
